I know you like a Bluestone bargain, so this is one you can plan ahead on. At the moment, next years prices are nice and low (without dipping into school holidays or course). So if you have a family with little ones outside of school age or are just 4 adults wanting a nice base to go away to, this could be for you. Its for 1 Feb – 5 Feb 2027, so plenty of notice to get holiday booked off work.
Caldey Lodge
Everything you need in a single-story, open-plan living space. A comfy living area, dining room and kitchen, and spacious bathroom with shower.
The outdoor space surrounding the lodge includes a patio area for morning coffee or a family lunch next to nature.
Bluestone is one of those places where you can stay on-site the whole time and not get bored, but youve also got some really good options nearby if you fancy getting out.
On-site highlights
Blue Lagoon water park
This is the main attraction. Indoor, warm all year, with flumes, wave machine and outdoor hot pools. Easy to dip in and out of whenever you want.
Serendome
A large covered outdoor space, so youre effectively outside without worrying about the weather. Good for kids to run around, climb and play.
The Hive
More activity-based. Climbing, zip lines and higher-energy stuff.
The Well Spa
Adults-only space if you want some downtime. Thermal rooms and treatments.
Activities worth doing
You can book loads, but the ones people tend to enjoy most:
High ropes / Sky Walk
Zip wire
Paddleboarding or kayaking
Archery or axe throwing
Cycling or e-bike hire
Laser tag
Theres a decent balance between active stuff and more relaxed options.
Easy wins that dont need booking
These are the bits people sometimes overlook:
Woodland walks around the resort
Play parks and open spaces
Water play areas
Just cycling around (its car-free, which makes a difference)
Food and evenings
The Village
Main hub with restaurants, takeaway options and a small shop. Youll probably end up here most evenings.
Camp Smokey
Set down in the woods. BBQ-style food and a slightly more relaxed feel away from the main area.
Evening entertainment
They usually run shows, live music and family-friendly entertainment depending on the time of year.
Getting around
The resort is car-free. You either walk, cycle or hire a buggy. If your lodge is far out or youve got kids, the buggy can make things easier.
