Product Description
Akashi Sake Brewery is a 4th generation family brewery which has been producing hand-crafted Sake for over 150 years. The brewery is located in Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture- which is known as the birthplace of Sake making. Hyogo has fertile land ideal for growing rice, abundant, pure water, and the perfect climate for Sake production. We only make premium Sake, with the finest, locally sourced ingredients. This Sake is labelled as Tokubetsu, which is a classification that means special. To be allowed to label a Sake as Tokubetsu, a brewery has to do something different, or better than their normal Sake. In this case, we have used a rice variety known as Gohyakumangoku, which we have polished further than our standard Sake- until there is only 60% of the grain left. This gives a light, elegant, fruity style of Sake.
