PEACE WARRIOR
Its the mid-21st century when Sergeant First Class Grant Justice is killed during an ambush on an enemy tank column.
Six hundred years later, his body is retrieved from the frozen, arctic lake where he perished. Re-animated by a team of scientists, Grant awakens to a civilization that has abolished war. A civilization that has outlawed violence and cherishes Peace above all else. A civilization that has been enslaved by an alien race called the Minith.
Grant is humankinds final hope against the alien menace. He must be the… Peace Warrior. Review
As I said in my review posted for the trilogy of this, this book was one of the nicest surprises I got, especially considering I am not a fan of war/military action books. But its well written – well, it was for me – and I absolutely loved the characters. Even though he didnt spend a lot of time actually describing them, he did it through action…which is so much better I connected with each and everyone of them and I hated leaving them. The end was a bit too sudden for my liking though. To be considered a book in its own right, he has to spend a bit more time on the end. Otherwise, its just the first act of a book (which is now called a trilogy).
The best part of it His description of death – absolutely original, fresh and compelling. Nothing alike that I read at least.
Loved it from top to bottom
