HBO Max launches in the UK on March 26th, featuring content from HBO, Warner Bros. Pictures, Warner Bros. Television, DC Studios, and Max Originals.
From launch, HBO Max Basic with Ads will be packaged together with NOW Entertainment, included at no extra cost for existing customers and fully integrated into the NOW platform.
Millions of existing customers will get easy access to this new line-up as standard at unbeatable value. All NOW Entertainment customers will get access to HBO Max, included at no extra cost, fully integrated within the NOW app.
– Existing NOW Entertainment customers will get HBO Max Basic with Ads at no extra cost in a new NOW Entertainment & HBO Max membership.
– Customers with Sky Stream, Sky Glass with Sky Ultimate TV, and Sky Q will have HBO Max Basic with Ads included in their subscription at no extra cost. Source.
HBO Max – Basic with ads:
Two concurrent streams.
Full HD (1080p) streaming (with stereo or 5.1 surround sound).
Youll get HBOs prestige dramas, Warner Bros films, and the back catalogue but not the newest blockbuster movies that arrive after their theatrical run.
No offline downloads.
This means you can watch HBO Max content in 1080p without needing NOW Boost – but only when viewing within HBO Max itself (regular NOW content typically remains at 720p).
Combined with the extra channels included with NOW Entertainment, having HBO Max added at no extra cost is a nice bonus, especially with the current NOW Entertainment price at £4.99 per month.
