It only took one ride on the Hidoes C5 before my Mrs decided she wanted her own e-bike, after I treated myself to the Momentum Voya E 2 back in February.
I had been looking at the Viking Urban Eco Sport before ultimately deciding to go with the Momentum, as it was a bit cheaper, but I preferred the specs of the Momentum. She thought about getting the same bike as me in a smaller size, but she wanted something a bit more lady-like.
We found this Eco Comfort model which has the lower frame.
The specs are pretty great for the money, and it doesnt feel any worse to ride than my Momentum despite the lower RRP. Plus it comes with extras such as integrated lights, mudguards and a rear rack, which Ive had to fork out extra for
The total cost with her Blue Light discount was about £482 including delivery
Couple of minor things to note –
The INSYNC app has been delisted from the Google Play Store so we had to find an alternative for checking remaining battery and adjusting pedal assist modes etc. There is a Bafang app which works with this bike which is still available to download. (I had tried an apk for the INSYNC app but it wouldnt pair up with the bike)
We cant figure out how to turn off the lights, there doesnt seem to be any toggle on the app so its pretty much bike on lights on. Again not a big dealbreaker.
Had our first big ride along the coast today (around 3 hours total) and shes still got 50% battery remaining, pretty impressive
